There is a story attributed to Cherokee wisdom:
One evening a grandfather was teaching his young grandson about the internal battle that each person faces. “There are two wolves struggling inside each of us,” the old man said.
“One wolf is vengefulness, anger, resentment, self-pity, fear . . . The other wolf is compassion, faithfulness, hope, truth, love . . .”
The grandson sat, thinking, and then asked: “Which wolf wins, Grandfather?”
His grandfather replied, “The one you feed.”

…You see, that’s how life is, really. We have two forces inside our heads; there is only ever room for one to occupy your brain at any given time. The one that actually occupies your mind is up to you. It’s the one to which you give the attention, energy, and focus.
Entrepreneurs striving for success in home business must be focused on the proper mindset.
This goes a lot deeper than just thinking positive, or being upbeat and happy all the time. It really is about a mind set. It is a decision that you make every minute, of everyday, to focus on the things that you love, the things that make you happy. The best way to do this is to start in gratitude; to be grateful for everything that happens to you, good or bad.
Oh, yeah…and remember: there’s duality in everything.
For instance, if somebody cuts you off in traffic and slows down your progress, it may be the thing that’s slowing you down and preventing you from having a big accident further down the road or avoiding a major catastrophe that’s just moments away from happening. If you balance your check book and realize that you don’t have enough money to pay the bills, rather than being upset that you don’t have the money at the time, be grateful that you have the things in your life that brought the bills in the first place.
And so often in life, we spend more time focused on what we don’t have and we miss the true grandeur of all that that we already have. And a lot of times we’re so focused on the disappointment of things that didn’t happen the way we wanted to happen that we actually miss the golden opportunities that are presented to us at that very moment. Unfortunately we miss the value in a setback.
You see, a setback is just a setup for a comeback.
If we see the setback as a setup for a comeback, if we realize that although things may not have worked out for us in this moment, we will see that there are better things on the horizon. I am suggesting we preprogram our brains to look for those next golden opportunities, those next wonderful things in life. In just about every setback we have in our lives, whether it’s a car accident, an illness, a disappointing phone call, or a prospect or a customer that doesn’t come through when they say they would, there’s always another opportunity. In a home-based business, having an eye for opportunity is crucial for success.
The key is being prepared with a positive mental attitude, a mind set for opportunity, and a willingness to think outside the box and to turn any kind of opportunity into a better opportunity.
It is in this moment that we grow as entrepreneurs, and that’s when we really begin to see success in our home business opportunities; when we really begin to think like a champion and when we really begin to realize our goals, our dreams, and our aspirations.
Here’s to your success!
